We fund specialist palliative care to support patients in our community

Story

We are a team of 19 Nurses and support staff based at the Macmillan Unit plus 1 husband, 1 daughter, 1 son + 2 friends, who madly volunteered to participate in three events - 10 mile bike ride, 10 mile collective swim and/or the Great South Run in October 2017 to raise money for Macmillan Caring Locally. We are made up of some experienced athletes and a lot of novices who have never even seen lycra before!

We are passionate about palliative care and this money will go towards much needed facilities for patients/families at the end of life.
