Story

CROUCH END 4 MARGOT

'Swab. Save a Life’

Saturday, 17 January 2015, 10am - 4pm

Coleridge Primary School

Coleridge primary school together with Team Margot and Delete Blood Cancer UK hosted a community ‘Swab. Save a Life’ day and run a blood cancer Awareness Week across schools in the area starting 12th January in memory of inspirational 2 year-old Margot Martini who sadly lost her fight with leukaemia on 27 October 2014.

The aim is to help save the lives of those who, like Margot and her family, never thought they would need a bone marrow transplant, with a family day full of activities for all ages to celebrate Margot’s short life and a long lasting legacy.

A total of 373 people came forward swabbed and registered to potentially save someone's life.  (see Gallery pictures of people who are still waiting for a match and follow their individual appeals on http://www.teammargot.com/public-appeals)

CrouchEnd4Marogt drive continues until the end of January with more businesses stepping forward to register as a result of BBC and ITV London news coverage of the event.

Each swab costs £40 to process. Please help us to cover some of the cost.

A BIG THANK YOU!!!
