I will be running 100km in 10 days in 10, 10km runs....Why?....
As some of you may know, the summer before last I had a serious skateboarding accident fracturing my skull. As a result I also suffered some temporary complications involving facial paralysis and impaired hearing, but fortunately I'm now fully recovered!
Specialists have told me how lucky I was to escape without any lasting damage as serious impacts to the head can have irreparable, life changing consequences.
Many people, less fortunate than me suffer head traumas every year that they never recover from. Many of these people need to depend on the assistance of relatives, carers and charities in order to move forward with their lives.
Headway East London is a charity which specialises in helping people with an acquired brain injury (http://www.headwayeastlondon.org/). They provide a base that people can turn to, offering services to support those who have an acquired brain injury, relatives, carers and professionals in this field.
Please help me help Headway reach more people by donating to my 100km run now!
Even if you can only give a little, please take a moment to do so - every contribution makes a difference!
THANKS!!
