My story

Thank you for visiting the 1st Duke of Lancaster's Regiment  fundraising page.  Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Capt Jon Gilbody, 2Lt Maria Noble, WO2 Steve Tickle, WO2 Alan Mossman and Cpl Damien Byrne are all serving with the 1st Battalion, the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment and are running the London Marathon on 13 April 2008 on behalf of the charity 'Sense'.

They return from a demanding 6 month tour of Iraq only a few days before the event and their training has been challenging and has consisted of hundreds of laps of the International Airport where they are based in Basra.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.  It is also the most efficient way to sponsor the 1LANCS team: Sense - National Deafblind and Rubella Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor the 1st Duke of Lancaster's Marathon team now!

Many thanks for your support.
