STOP PRESS Due to a RTA south of Warrington resulting in severe bruising of left leg and buttock (and pride) this years attempt has been suspended until I am fit to ride again. I will complete it but expect to be out of the saddle for at least a week. At the time of the accident 562 miles had been completed in some of the worst weather conditions I have ever experienced. I am truly sorry for the delay and assure you it WILL be completed. In 2006 I did the trip from Lands End to John O'Groats, Solo, for Breast Cancer Care (www.justgiving.com/grahamlees). The total rased was close to £10,000. It was a worthwile and life changing experience for me, as well as a lot of help for an organisation that was very supportive to someone very close to my heart - my wife Celeste. The final story on this trip is available as a PDF, www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~kroberts/barford/pdf/graham_lees.pdf Colin was brave (stupid) enough to volunteer to join me on this one. This year we are supporting our local Air Ambulance www.wnaa.co.uk and Breast Cancer Care www.breastcancercare.org.uk You can track us on line on http://mstrackweb.mobil-i.com using login: madbloke and password: madbloke Feel free to send any comments of support or ridicule to the blackberry madbloke@timbercroft.co.uk. Anyone who sponsors either Colin or myself can email Sue (Mission Control) on s.fletcher@cotswoldlifts.co.uk with thier guess of the total time in the saddle - the closest I will take plus 2 of his or her friends in a 4 seat light aircraft as a prize for a 1 hour flight around the Warwickshire Countryside. Bids MUST be submitted by 27th June. I also personally support the Air Ambulance with a monthly donation, as a pilot of light aircraft and motorcyclist, its my insurance policy!! We offer two sites and you can donate to either or both. Colin's site is www.justgiving.com/colinigoea I would like to thank all of our sponsors, and in particular the following: Sue Fletcher, s.fletcher@cotswoldlifts.co.uk for her support last time and help in organising this years bash. Nick and Tom Dunn of Pilot Flight Training www.pftraining.co.uk for a £250 donation and allowing me to harass customers for cash. If you are considering flying either for fun or as a career, you will not find a finer friendlier club. Terry of the Airfield Cafe at Wellesbourne Airfield, for his words of support and pledge of donaton. Terry still does the best Bacon in Warwicksire and well worth a visit. Once you have ordered your breakfast you can always pop next door to PFT and put your change in the donation tin! 3G Comms www.3gcomms.co.uk especially Rob for sorting the tracker, and providing the phones for the trip. Darren Roberts of Eastern Airways www.easternairways.com for giving us discounted tickets to Wick to start the trip. The saving will be be added to my own donation. Our wives, for putting up with becoming cycling widows for the run up to and event itself. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Warwickshire And Northamptonshire Air Ambulance will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
