In order to raise some money for the British Limbless Ex Servicemen’s Association (BLESMA), 16 Staff Officers from Headquarters 52 Infantry Brigade based in Helmand province of Afghanistan have volunteered to run in a 24 hour marathon. The marathon will start at noon on the 31 Dec 07 and finish at noon 1 Jan 08. The event will involve the participants, in pairs, running 3 x one hour shifts and completing approx 26 miles each. Due to the confined nature of the route, which is basically the base perimeter wall and fierce cold temperatures, plummeting to -8’C  at night it will be a touch challenge.

Thank you for visiting ourfundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association (Blesma) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
