The Baby Beat AppealThe Baby Beat Appeal was established in 1987 and aims to maintain and raise standards in preventive care at the Sharoe Green Maternity Unit at Royal Preston Hospital.

What the Baby Beat Appeal aims to do:

    Each of the 4,000 babies delivered in the Sharoe Green Maternity Unit deserves the best chance of lifeA baby's nine month journey into the world is hazardous and the last few hours and minutes crucial to life                                        It could be the life of your unborn child or grandchild                                                        The Maternity Unit's capital budget provides essentialsIts midwives and medical staff are experienced and dedicated but need access to the latest technologyThe Baby Beat Appeal allows them to take advantage of the very best in foetal monitoring equipment

What I am doing for this worthy cause:

Starting from Brinscall I will be cycling through Houghton, walton-le-dale, Bamber bridge, Whittle-le-woods and back to Brinscall.  I will cycle for 24 hrs non-stop and keep going round as many times as I can.  Doin this 2 times:

9th September 2009 12 am to 12 am

14th October 2009 12am to 12am
