Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page for Karl, Steve and Justin.

10 years ago on 12th February 2005, Karl and Steve's Dad, Bill Murphy, was involved in an accident in his home town of Loughborough.  After battling with a head injury for 6 weeks, he passed away on 1st April 2005.

We've never done anything like this for charity in the past, so we thought that 10 years on, and in memory of the nicest bloke you'd ever wish to meet, we'd try and raise some money for Headway, the brain injury charity.

The plan is to cycle from Winchester to Notts County FC over the 2015 Easter weekend, hopefully arriving at the ground in time to see Coventry get beat!

As Bill was a life-long Notts supporter, a passion he passed down to the rest of the family, we thought this would be a suitable challenge.

The we is the dashing Karl, his bigger, balder brother, Steve Murphy, and one of his best mates, the crazy fool that is Justin Smith!

As none of us have done any exercise for the last decade, the 200 mile bike ride we find ourselves doing, should be quite a challenge!

To help us along our hilly way, we'd all really appreciate your support.  Unfortunately for you, this means parting with your cash and helping us raise as much money as we can for Headway.

We'll keep you posted on our efforts, both training and the actual ride, so you can cheer us on, laugh at us, or just be extremely grateful that you know 3 such stand up, amazing men!!

We just want to say a massive "THANK YOU" in advance for any money you can give - we really do appreciate it.
