My story

THE 30-Thon!!!!!!

This year would have been Julia Burton's 30th Birthday... To celebrate, we are having a 30-thon! You will see there are people in the family doing all sorts of things to raise money - and EVERY PENNY COUNTS!

You can sponsor ANY of the participants HERE…

Hazel Burton

Gave up tea and cake for 30 days… A real challenge for this cuppa lover!

Stella Barrett

Has vowed not to shout at her 4 grandkids for 30 days, but by gosh they are testing her!!!

Jenny Long

30 minutes sponsored silence – she never stops chatting, she said it was the hardest thing she's ever done!!

Kath Burton

30 minutes swimming, cycling and running, rotating the three activities for 30 days... A Triathlete in the making!

Rosie Barrett (13)

She is going to DANCE DANCE DANCE on her dancemat till she drops! Or 30 minutes, non stop, whichever comes first!

Phil Burton

Riding his delivery bicycle for 30 feet - in a blindfold - dressed as Monsieur Burton! Le Tour de Farce!

John Barrett

Doing 30 laps of his local running circuit, which includes running up then down Rowntrees Bridge! He's a running fool!

Rich Parkinson

He’s grown a ludicrously large beard. He has only been at it 2 weeks and looks like the Wildman of Borneo.

Rachel Harrand (11)

Just a hop skip and a jump for this young 'un who has been doing 30 skips

Erin Barrett (15)

Running round the block for 30 minutes... She's a lazy sort so she's trying hard!

Evie Long (22 months)

She’s only got little baby legs, but she is going to jump 30 times!

David Long

On his 30th Birthday (27th August) he cycled 30 miles, completed a sack race in 30 seconds,  and then had 3 halves o'Guinness in 30 minutes!

Georgie Parkinson

Running like Paula Radcliffe in the Great North Run on 30th September. Actually, more like Forrest Gump.

Harry Barrett (11)

Doing 30 laps of the block on his bike... smoking saddles!

The Yanks (USA)

Held a Darts night at the Cock & Bull pub in Santa Monica and raised $1000!

ALL THE MONEY RAISED FOR THE 30-THON WILL GO TO FSID'S IN MEMORY OF JULIA BURTON
