I am Laura a very outgoing and bubbly 20 years old girl from Aberdeen, I have been studying photography at college.
I am supporting 3 charities:- The Maritime Rescue Institute, CLAN Cancer Support Centre and Projectscotland.
I will be doing 3 skydives in 1 day for these 3 charities and I want to raise £50,000 - £30,000 for MRI, £10,000 for CLAN and £10,000 for Projectscotland. The event is on the 13th July 2010 at Erroll airfield in perth... please come along and support me
Projectscotland is a charity that totally changed my life for the better, they gave me hope in life. I just left school and had no job, nothing to do and decided I wanted to volunteer my time. Projectscotland is a charity that takes young people and helps them into adulthood, I did my 9 month volunteering placement at MRI.
I love MRI, they give such a good service to the public, they provide Stonehaven area with a valuable lifeboat service like no other. They are a charity very close to my heart and I will do my best to raise the money for the charity.
CLAN is also another charity close to my heart as I have lost some relatives to Cancer and that is very scary. Imagine having Cancer but having no family or friends to support you, it would be so hard. CLAN can help - they offer support to people with Cancer, their family/friends/carers also have access to their services, all for free - now that is just heartwarming just knowing that there is always someone to talk to...
