***UPDATE 31st OCT******PHOTOS ADDED 6th NOV***
We all did it!!
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and to those who still are! We are still hoping to raise more for this wonderful cause!
We completed the walk in 5hrs flat...we were hoping for an hour earlier but a slight detour scuppered our plans. There will be a few blisters brewing over the weekend, but the whole team did very well, with good spirits all the way (even during the detour!)
Photos of the hike can be found here...

Raising funds for Southampton General Hospital Charity’s Paediatric Intensive Care Unit
On the 3D production team are going to walk 11 miles across an area of the in order to help raise funds towards the target of £25,000 for PICU. The circuit starts from the Goodwood Race Course and takes us up and over the , across country through Singleton and back. We hope to complete this within 4 hours depending on the weather and ground conditions (also getting lost), a route map is shown on the next page. Your generosity would be greatly appreciated for this worth while cause.
Why are getting involved:
Some of you may or may not be aware that in February of this year, , the son of our dear friend and colleague, Mark Hilder, sadly passed away just before his 1 Birthday. Mark and his family (including ’s twin brother) found the expert care and support of the ’s Paediatric Intensive Care Unit invaluable to them during and after ’s death and this is why we are tackling a Sponsored Walk. We want to raise as much money as we can to go towards helping other children and families who need the support of the hospital, and in particular PICU.
Mark Hilder said, “This event, while being a fun experience is all about raising funds for PICU. The Unit is second to none in the excellent service and quality of care they provide to their young patients and families. We want to raise as much money as we can to make sure that the Unit can help as many patients as possible. With our son, my family and I experienced at first hand, on more than one occasion, the full specialist medical services the unit and staff can provide during a time of such anxiety for all the family."
hopes to raise £25,000 through this initiative with all monies going directly to the Charity. It costs over £15,000 to buy just one ventilator for the Unit.
