Date extended for any of you that still want to donate and push the total just that bit further. Thanks again for all your support

14th May update

All the three of us can say is WOW!!, thanks to all who have donated, big or small, you know who you are.

We really couldn't have done it without your amazing support!!

Here's hoping we can reach £10k, that would make such a difference to this wonderful charity, a figure that would have seemed like a dream all those months ago.

We are all incredibly honoured that you have shown such generosity, thanks again.

Finish times for the 3 of us:

Mark  5 hours 16

Mick  5 hours 10

Mitch 5 hours 31 (with a medical time-out).

23rd April Update:

We've done it (the money side that is!!), but don't stop there, keep it coming as every pound helps.

Huge thanks to all who have sponsored us so far, we really couldn't have achieved the target without every single one of you helping us.It is now down to us to finish the course on what looks like a warm sunny day!

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving fundraising page.

Not long now!!! The three of us are counting the days and stocking up on pasta etc!

Please donate whatever you can, this Charity really does appreciate every penny, it's not all about equipment that costs thousands, just look at the example below and think of the difference this made to the little 4 year old girl on the receiving end.

Just look at what £94.98 bought:

Baby Trike
Little Tikes Kitchen & Laundry

This little girl's condition is:

Charge Syndrome (Eye, Ear & Heart Defects) and Learning Difficulties

The kitchen will promote play skills, coordination and learning in a safe environment.
Can't walk very well, she is very, very small

So, you can see, even £5.00 will go towards valuable, life enhancing equipment like this.

We wanted to run together to honour our sadly missed beloved Mum’s memory and we chose a children’s charity because nothing made her happier than spending time with her own children (6) grand-children (9), nephews & nieces and numerous extended family children.

Children Today raise funds to provide special equipment for children and young people with disabilities throughout the . Our aim is to ensure that every disabled child and young person fulfils their potential and leads an active childhood. With your support, we can achieve this.

Children Today was founded in 1994 to help disabled children and young people up to the age of 25 enjoy a better quality of life by providing them with the specialised equipment they need. We believe the provision of equipment and aids is vital in helping children and young people overcome their disabilities and enable them to lead full and active lives with their families and friends.

Often children and young people with disabilities remain excluded from a lifestyle which other people may take for granted. These children and young people want to join in and want to take part in the same sorts of activities, within their capabilities, as other children. They want to gain more independence from their parents as they get older, but are prevented from doing so.

It has been a simple decision for all 3 of us, enduring several months of training and some pain seems a small price to pay to provide this much needed, life enhancing equipment for this very worthwhile charity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to our very worthy charity, Children Today and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

We thank you all for your generous donation, it REALLY is hugely appreciated.
