Hello, and thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

We are members of the 99th Reading (Our Lady of Peace) Scout Group. I am one of the Scout Leaders, Nigel Paterson is our Treasurer and Nick Taylor is Secretary.

As you may already know, myself Nigel Paterson & Nick Taylor are participating in the Three Towers hike, an annual event that takes place in Berkshire every year, organised by the Scout Association.

This event is aimed at Scouts, Scout Leaders and friends of Scouting.

Some of our Scouts are entering the 18 mile junior route, with the Explorer Scouts along with some of our other Adult friends (my Wife Deirdre & Nigel's wife Ann-Marie included!) entering for the 28 mile route.

Myself, Nigel & Nick have decided to enter for the senior route, which is over 44 miles.  This is somewhat of a challenge, as the furthest we have walked in one day as a Team is 28 miles. However, we are up for a challenge!!! Nigel completed the hike two years ago, and assures us that we will cross the finishing line!

We would love to raise some money for a worthwhile charity, and being a Scout Leader & members of the Group Executive Committee, Save the Children seems to be appropriate.

Please help us make our blisters and dodgy joints worthwhile, and focus our minds on getting across the finishing line. It's going to be a long 16 hours, hopefully it will be worth it!

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Save the Children will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

Leo Mc Carville.
