We support the growing number of people in and around Milton Keynes affected by a life-limiting illness. We give our patients and their loved ones specialist, personalised care - free of charge. Only 13.8% of our costs are met by ongoing NHS funding, so we’re dependent on your support. Thank you.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On June 9th 2010 my good friend and father-in-law Colin Walker passed away peacefuly in Willen Hospice. Colin was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in December 2009 and he spent the last seven weeks of his life in Willen Hospice. All the staff at Willen gave both Colin and us, his family, exellent care throughout this very sad and painful time.

I just feel the need to give something back to Willen Hospice. It is with this in mind that i am going to jump out of a perfectly good plane that is going to land safely shortly after pushing me out strapped to a complete stranger who "knows what he is doing".

Easy!!! you might say, but i get vertigo going up stairs! and the toughest bit for me is that you can be a maximum of 15 stone when you do the jump. My friend and neighbour Truddie Bird, an exellent personal trainer, has weighed me, measured my height and taken my BMI. the conclusion is I currently weigh 17.5 stone and the O word has been mentioned.

No more fillet steak, pizza, indian or chinese!! No more drinking the louire valley when I get in from work!! I am going on a boot camp training regime eating boring food ( and not a lot of it ) no alcohol and many many hours in the gym!!!

I will acheive my goal and make the jump as I am doing it for my great friend Colin and I will not let him down. All you have to do is give as much of your hard earned cash as you can, and remenber with gift aid what ever you give the government give the tax back!!! so please give as much as you can.

So please dig deep and donate now.
