My story

 

Hi. Much appreciated that you have visited my Justgiving page.

My third London marathon, my third finish, all in respect of me Dad. The gruelling 26.2 miles completed in 3 hours 53 mins.

Thanks to all who supported and donated thus far. You can still donate on this page up until start of June. I'll be back for 26th April 2009.

FEW FACTS

Someone suffers heart attack every 2 minutes in the UK.

Heart disease is complex and unpredictable. It can effect anyone at any age with 8 of every 1000 babies born each year suffering some form of heart defect

Living with heart disease is painful, over 2.7 million UK sufferers will testify

1 in 3 women who will die this week will do so due to heart and circulatory disease

WHAT YOUR MONEY DOES TO HELP

Pioneering Research - The research we fund is vital as it saves and improves the lives of children and adults. BHF research has played major role in development of pacemakers, replacement heart valves and clot busting drugs.

Support & Care for Heart Patients - BHF helps patients recover from heart attacks and surgery. With your help BHF are able to provide Nurses to care for and support patients and their families. BHF also provide life saving equipment and training to help hospitals and local communities cope with emergencies.

Helping People Live Healthier Lives - Changing your lifestyle is one of the best ways to prevent heart disease. BHF actively promotes key messages about diet, smoking and the need to exercise to all ages in the hope to invest in an healthier future for us all
