UPDATE: We did it! Managed to play for 75hours and 13minutes. I think we experienced a little of the mental and physical problems caused by MS and certainly have an appreciation of the great work done by the The Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The sleep deprivation has taken its toll and we both have some pretty bad aches and pains. All our evidence is now being collated ready to send to Guinness. Finally, a huge thanks to everyone who's been involved. The support has been amazing and we really couldn't have done it without your help.
---On Friday 4th February 2011 Nick Barrett and Andy Osborne will be making an official Guinness World Records™ attempt. At 10am they will start what will hopefully become the longest singles pool match ever! With a target of 74 hours they will play continuous pool through both day and night until Monday afternoon.
Why???? The thought developed after a crazy idea one night during a Pool League Game. The idea took shape after Nick’s partner was diagnosed with a brain lesion. Wanting to help in some way it was decided we would try to raise some money for The Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Our target is £2,000 – please give generously!! We need not only your money but also your support, our attempt will take place at The Royalist – Market Harborough (4th - 7th Feb) please come along and cheer us on! - http://tinyurl.com/theroyalist
