Our beloved friend and sister, Sumayya Dukes, passed away from this world. Her friends would like to build a well in Kashmir in her name, so that it may be a sadaqah jarriyah (A charity that is sent forth) and may be a coolness for her.


She was a great friend and participant within the university (Imperial College) and MuslimMedics. She will always be remembered in the hearts of those who were dear to her, who knew her, met her or even heard of her for her wonderful character, her bubbly nature and a noor that lit up everyone's life through her beautiful soul.


She was generous beyond belief, always made time to help others around her, and many of us younger peers have benefitted through her advice and mentoring and she leaves behind her parents and siblings.

We hope also that this page will remind you of Sumayya in your prayers. Please contribute to the Well Fund, perhaps we could build more than one. As we have already reached the target for one well, we have increased the target to 2 wells.
