Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Towards the end of 2010 I found out that I had a brain tumour. By Christmas, I'd been operated on and a piece of brain the size of a plum (a big juicy plum, not a little one) was removed. A lab analysis revealed it to be a low grade glioma.
Check out my brain tumour blog here.
Before my operation I spent £89.99 on a new pair of running shoes. I didn't want to waste this investment, so I signed up for a 50K trail ultra run in 2011, followed by a 50 miler in 2012. I have now finally bought a new pair of shoes and to celebrate the occassion have entered the London to Brighton 100K run.
I am running on behalf of a charity called Astro Brain Tumour Fund, who raise money to fund research into finding a cure for low grade gliomas. The charity also provide support for those living with brain tumours and help raise awareness of this terrible disease.
