THE NEW CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL APPEAL

A new children's hospital for Manchester and the north west is currently under construction in central Manchester. The New Children's Hospital Appeal, spearheaded by Bob the Builder, aims to raise £20m to support projects within the new hospital. The Appeal will provide the latest equipment for diagnosis and treatment and a place for parents to stay when their child is in hospital. My story

Just a little about this folks my colleague at work's little boy has been diagnosed as having cancer of the spine he is 5yrs old and is currently in Pendlebury Childrens Hospital in Manchester and I thought it would be a good idea to raise some money for the hospital by rowing in the team event at the European Indoor Rowing Championships in fancy dress. I spoke to some of the other girls who race and they were all up for it so we entered. I don't think that the rowing community have seen the like before .. oops .. but it is all in a good cause .

Also well done to everyone that competed I was proud to be British .
