Pedal for Scotland 2010 · 12 September 2010 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

PLEASE REMEMBER TO CLICK ON "READ MORE" IN THIS SECTION AND SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ALL OF THE BACKGROUND DETAIL INCLUDING A FULL LISTING OF THE TEAM FOR THIS YEAR....

For the FIFTH year in a row Dunfermline Carnegie Hockey Club and our friends have again entered a Team in this year's Pedal For Scotland Event in memory of Andy Stewart. One of our Team mates, Andy was only 15 when he sadly passed away on 24th May 2006.

Andy was diagnosed with Leukaemia on the 12th May 2006 and his untimely death touched us all very deeply. We hope to add to the sum of over £50,000 which we have managed to raise over the last four years for this very worthy cause and we see our ongoing participation in the Pedal For Scotland event as being a very appropriate tribute to a young lad who lived his life to the full.

Many thanks for your support. The Team would also like to take the opportunity to gratefully acknowledge the support being provided to the Team by the following companies -

ANDERSON COACHES , METHIL

EUROPA LOGISTICS

So please sponsor Team "ANDY STEWART" ... our team for this year is ...

Ross Bennet, Alex Blues, Kevin Buchan, Sheila Duncan, Alistair Farquhar, Kerry Joiner, Mike Joiner, Frances McLaughlin, Ewan Ogilvie, David Salthouse, Edward Salthouse, Bob Stewart, Steve Wallace, Stuart Wallace and Nick Watson
