Hi everyone,
Jo and Angela have decided to put their free time as single girls to good use and raise some much needed funds for Action Cancer. We initially signed up for a challenging Trek in Costa Rica in February 2010 but due to a major itinerary change we have now decided to take part in The Grand Canyon Trek instead. The Grand Canyon Trek will be just as challenging as the Costa Rica Trek with early starts, long days and tents to sleep in at the end of them! The accommodation alone will be a challenge for the ladies who like the 5-star treatment!!!
Our trek will now take place in May 2010 and we will soon be commencing a training schedule to prepare us for the event. In the meantime we have pledged to raise at least £6200.00, 50% of which will go directly to Action Cancer.
Our main fundraising event is a Charity Formal on Friday 30th October 2009. Tickets are £50.00 per person to include a four course meal and entertainment, with at least £20.00 from each ticket going towards our fundraising target. We would love to see all our friends and family at the Formal so please come and enjoy the evening with us. Tables seat ten people so why not bring your friends along too? Contact either one of us for tickets.
Obviously we would love to beat our fundraising target but we can only do this with your help and kindness so please give generously and support this local charity. Action Cancer are a Northern Ireland based charity and all fundraising is used to benefit local people in both the early detection and treatment of cancer.
