The Pull happened and we did it!! It nearly killed me and most of the team but we came 4th only 2 seconds behind the winning team over the 2 legs. We did however have the fatest time for the uphill leg which was a fantastic effort. Massive thanks to all of the team who put in a lot of effort to exceed our target and perform as well as we did on the day. additional thanks to Angus and Sara who volunteered to make up the numbers on the day
The actual aircraft pull will take place on the historic motor racing circuit at Goodwood, teams from different NATS units will pull the aircraft along the main straight against the clock. No doubt this will be pretty competitive.
Goodwood have provided us with a historic Harvard aircraft for the pull, pictured above, and the pull will form two parts - once each way along the main straight. Against the clock. Which unit has the strongest team?
During the Sunday there are a number of other activities taking place; the regular Goodwood Breakfast Club will take place that morning - the theme of which is Rule Brittania. Goodwood Aerodrome have arranged an airshow and also a fly-in for anyone wishing to arrive in their own aircraft, if you wish to book for this fly-in please email us on thebigpull@gmail.com. There will be entertainment for kids as well during the pull itself.

Aerobility (British Disabled Flying Association) gives disabled people wings, piloting an aircraft, seeing the world from the sky is an excellent source of rehabilitation and achievement. The charity operates adapted aircraft around the UK providing aviation experiences, training and social events.
