Thanks for taking the time to join in the customs and duties challenge for 2012.

We were all so touched when we saw Prince William and Catherine meeting with so many of the patients at The Royal Marsden and putting such big smiles on so many faces.  Readers of A Petite Princess have learned in the past few months  that getting items from companies based in the UK is not always as easy as simply paying the price on the tag plus the shipping...there are sometimes customs or duty fees that must be paid once the item reaches the U.S. before it will be delivered to your door.

The challenge that A Petite Princess is putting to readers is simple, if you have had to pay a customs fee or other duty on an item please consider donating that same amount to this fundraiser.  If you did not have to pay a cusatoms fee or duty on an item but you want to get involved, you might consider donating an amount equal to the shipping fee that you paid or if it was a local purchase maybe something equal to your sales tax..

So please dig deep and donate now...remember when you find that Catherine-inspired item, let her inspire you to help those battling cancer.  Just think about the smiles that we can put on faces in her honor.
