For those of you who know me, I am a keen cyclist and rode to Germany last year, but for that I trained almost daily. This year for personal reasons I have sacrificed exercise for family time and every attempt to get back on the bike has resulted in severe leg cramp. Hence I wasn't planning on going in this year's ride4peace but on the 11th hour (literally 10hrs before the start) I felt the need to push myself, to face my adversity and see without training truly how far the mind can push my injured body.
