Please support us in our 24 hour Pokerthon for the Kent Air Ambulance Trust. We will be taking part in this challenge straight after a normal working day and so the sleep deprivation is more likely to be around the 36 hour mark (possibly a little more for those of us with young children!)
We are a group of colleagues but also a group of poker nuts. We were interested in combining our passion for poker with an event to raise funds for a very good local cause and the idea of an endurance game seemed a good idea (at the time!)
The Kent Air Ambulance Trust run a superb service (not only in Kent but in Sussex and Surrey too). The Trust save lives by saving time. They can get to the scene very quickly, transfer patients to the most appropriate hospital quickly - and the skills of the crew are such that they can even perform certain surgery out in the field if necessary.
