We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Welcome to my Just Giving page which is in support of the battle against Cancer.

How?

I will be completing 3 major courses to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Hell Runner - “Brooks HellRunner offers trail running at its toughest and most enjoyable. 10 -12 miles of challenging off-road running… tough, twisting trails… including the famed Hills of Hell and the Bog of Doom!

The Finish will bring redemption… but only to successful HellRunners”

Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest - “Survival is back for Autumn 2013. Packing a colossal 10k urban assault course in each host city, the Survival series will see 25,000 participants take on these totally unique challenge events this year. Want to join them? Survival is for all comers: Men, women, teams and solo contenders. It’s as much fun as you can have in a run and the camaraderie is served up with lashings of Survival Spirit.”

Weston Park Endurance Challenge – “KickAss Endurance events are hardcore 10k or 10 mile outdoor physical events. Events range from mud runs to obstacle courses, 10k road / off road runs to half marathons and marathons. Our aim is simply to bring you the best endurance events around. We feel there is little in the way of these types of events around Shropshire and the West Midlands and with our vast experience and knowledge we want to bring challenging endurance events to the local area.

The KickAss Endurance team originate from Telford in Shropshire. Our team of dedicated staff have knowledge which stems from over 50 years experience in the Fire and Rescue Service, ex Royal Marine physical training instructors, personal trainers and gym instructors. This enables us to bring our expertise to set up events that not only push you to your limits but enables you to have fun and walk away with a sense of accomplishment.”

Why?

I have decided that the money should be donated to Cancer Research UK after losing someone from the cricketing circle at St Georges Cricket Club, I first met Jim Heath when I was 7. Jim Heath supported me throughout all the youth cricketing age groups, he helped me on and off the field. He was a fantastic guy who put a lot of dedication and time into the club. Jim lost his 5 year battle with cancer towards the end of last year's cricket season.

I hope that mine and the Queen's of Mud bit will make a difference and beat cancer.

So please dig deep to really make a difference and press that sponsor button.
