My story

Aaron's Story
My Husband and I were attending an infertility clinic until I discovered I was pregnant – naturally! We were delighted. I gave birth to a little boy Aaron, but that night within seconds I went from cloud nine to being shattered into a million pieces. Aaron had no signs of life and had to be resuscitated due to lack of oxygen during birth, our world had fell apart. I felt an overwhelming surge of love towards Aaron and one thing was certain, he needed me.
Aaron didn’t meet milestones, in fact he struggled to hold his head up and at 5 months old was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, but we knew there was a bright light shining within him. We discovered a Therapy Service called ‘Rainbow House’ where Aaron has attended since 18 months old. The vibe was positive, happy, colourful and bright just like a rainbow! Aaron is now 8 years old and is a delightful, bright, sociable little boy with a ‘wicked’ sense of humour. Aaron’s beautiful smile is my inspiration. Since attending this therapy Aarons’ core strength has improved significantly and he can sit up independently for short periods, he can hold his head up, he is also learning to stand!
Sadly, funds are low and the doors may have to close. Please help by donating anything you can to keep this life changing centre alive!

Rainbow House helps children with physical disabilities between the age of 3 months - 16 years to become more active & independent through Conductive Education and Early Years services, aiming to achieve each childs goal in sitting, standing and walking and improve their social skills in eating, dressing and toileting, making integration into mainstream school and the community easier. Not only do we help children with disabilties such as Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Metabolic & other genetic motor disorders, we also provide support for their families & carers.
