Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
So as most of you know, I like a little challenge, so when this opportunity to abseil the Tees Transporter bridge arose, I couldn't think of a good enough reason not to do it!
The abseil itself is off a pretty impressive looking bridge, 165 feet high (that's 9 flights of stairs apparently).
It's difficult to find individual's who have not been affected by cancer- whether it be themselves or through family and friends. However with scientific research, those with the condition can lead longer and happier lives, with increased survival and less side effects.
Cancer Research UK is the world's leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. They research many things including finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat it to save more lives. They are entirely funded by the public. A really worthwhile cause.
Any donations you can make will make a huge difference and support the work of this charity.
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
PS - We have paid the cost of our abseil, the money raised is for Cancer Research not to pay for us to do a wholly crazy activity!
