Hi guys,
Firstly thanks for taking a look at our JustGiving page. I know you all get a lot of charity requests these days, but I hope you agree that this is not your usual "three peaks dog walk" but something a little more, erm, whats the word. Adventurous!
If you don't already know, Ben, Pete and myself will be cramming ourselves into an old beetle (painted as a mexican taxi) that we bought a month ago for £500 and driving it south through Africa down to Cameroon. Its about 7,000 miles, full of bandits, landmines, deserts and jungles, and then when we get out of South East London the fun really starts!
The plan is to get into Cameroon and auction off our car for charity, the friendly Cameroon government said we can import our cars into the country without having the import tax, but we have to raise a tonne of money for a local charity. It didn't take us long to find Rainforest Foundation, who we know work tirelessly to make a real difference in the protection of the rainforest in Cameroon and across central Africa.
