After my sons appendix spectacularly exploded back in January he has had four operations and has spent over a month in hospital. The most recent was just a couple of weeks ago. Having seen some of the provisions made to distract poor buggers like him through entertainment and education it only seems right to try to pop a bit back in their direction. I will ride my rubbish moped from Penzance to the Paris and back in the run up to Christmas. At just over 1000 miles it may not be the biggest distance but the challenge will lie in the conditions and time it will take...each way will be done non stop of course! This will be done at a miserable average of 30mph if I'm lucky And if you've ever seen the headlight on a honda cub you will know that riding in the dark is less than delightful! Chuck in a decent wind and a guts full of rain and we'll see what happens...the only rule is no bed til Paris...
