In October 2011 I led a 45 mile Beacon RCC club run to celebrate my 75th birthday. Depite my age I still felt indestructible, but less than a month later, out of the blue, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Since then I've received hormone treatment and radiotherapy and my cycling mileage has nosedived. Time now to get fit for a 'last hurrah'  (or last but one) on two wheels and, hopefully, raise a few quid for Prostate Cancer
