Careif is an especially apt charity for a marathon. It is an international charity associated with promoting public mental health in its broadest context. It supports activities all over the world (from London to the toughest favelas in Rio de Janiero) that focus on improving mental health and wellbeing, especially in young people under difficult circumstances. It stresses the interplay between physical and mental health and fosters activities that use sport and the arts to promote resilience and mental health.
