However, the chance to help raise money for WAVE Trust makes this 100% worthwhile.

WAVE Trust is a UK based charity that aims to break cycles of family dysfunction and child maltreatment by finding preventative solutions. Examples include the publication of the "1001 critical days: the importance of the conception to age two period" report which has been endorsed by the NSPCC and is currently being used by Unicef in central and eastern Europe, Russia and Asia.

The donations will help fund WAVE's Pioneer Communities project - whereby WAVE will use its 20 years of research and implementation expertise to transform early years' services for 50,000 people in 6 areas in the UK. This will involve creating tailor-made actions plans and working with all local stakeholders to transform training, workforce capacity, support identification of vulnerable families and to introduce highly effective, well evidenced intervention programmes with the aim of reducing child maltreatment by 70% by 2030.
