Hi all,
Firstly can I take the opportunity to thank those of you who have sponsored me in the past, it is greatly appreciated and you have contributed to a great charity..
Unfortunately I now have the sheer nerve and cheek to ask you to part with your money again, in 2009 and in the height of a recession... what a sh*t I am :o)
I realise things are tight for all of us at the moment but I cannot stress how great a charity coping with cancer truly is. It is helping local people all around the north east both practically and emotionally.
Right, now about the running.... This is my 3rd Great North Run, in 2007 I finished the race in 2 hours 22 minutes, in 2008 I finished in 2 hours 12 minutes so I reckon I'll shave another 10 minutes off every year and I will be winning it by a mile when I'm 40!! :o)
Seriously though I am hoping for a run in under 2 hours, but would be happy just improving on last year's time!
I believe the minimum donation on this site is £2 so if you could spare that (or whatever you can) it would be massively appreciated not just by me and the people at coping with cancer, but the families and individuals affected who could be living right in your street.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks in advance for any donation you make.
Alan
