Well, I've done it! It was tough and in particular the last mile was hard work - what with it being ALL uphill and all. Bloomin' sadists, putting a hill in the last mile!

 

Oh well, it was all worth it, knowing that cos of YOUR generous donations I've made £600 for Help for Heroes (£500 in donations and another £100 from the Gift-Aid!).

 

I am genuinely taken back by the generousity of people - particularly from those on the Forest Forum and Twitter who have donated to someone they don't even know!

 

Thank you for your support, and your encouragement. I am already looking around for the next daft thing I can aim focus on for the future!

On 11th October 2009, I'll be taking part in the EDF Energy Birmingham Half Marathon and I'll be doing it to help raise funds for Help for Heroes. They need every penny that they can get to help rehabilitate injured service men and women, many of which suffer from life changing injuries - quite often amputations and burns.

Please give generously, those guys benefiting will be worth the pain my dodgy knees will have to go through.
