Sat 6th October we are doing our first coast to coast across central Scotland. Ayr to Musselburgh. +85 Miles. This will be a personal best for me (he has done more. bugger lol) ... So if you can assist - Thanks
Alfie is nearly five. He loves all things about fire engines and it's his dream to be a fireman when he grows up. His daddy and I want to do anything we can to get him there. Alfie has so much fighting spirit we just can’t give up now. Please, please help us to give Alfie the chance he deserves to live the life he deserves, and the hope that he can beat this awful disease."

Route Information
Difficulty: Long Day Rides (Over 40 Miles)
Surface/Terrain: Road
Distance (Miles): 56 miles
A circuit of the beautiful Isle of Arran in a single day ride. It can be a fairly tough ride in a single day, but if you have time in hand, its a wonderful day on the bike.
The road around the island is very largely on the coast, but there are some hills to tackle where is drifts inland, most notably in the north through Glen Chalmadale and then in the south around Kilmory and Kildonan.
Its perfectly possible to split the island into two shorter days if you want to take a bit more time and stay over on the island. We recommend rides between Brodick and Blackwaterfoot (North one way and South the other) as the most sensible way to do it.
