Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

I work for Greene King who are sponsoring Lawrence Dallaglio on his charity bike ride across Europe.  Lawrence is heading a team of cyclists including celebrities from the world of sport, screen and music to visit each of the six stadiums involved in the Six Nations Rugby tournament next year.  They are starting off in Rome for the clash between Italy and England and then will pedal across the continent stopping in Paris, London, Cardiff, Dublin and Edinburgh in the space of 28 days in February and March 2010, watching a Six Nations match at each venue on the way.

This is being done in partnership with the BBC's Sport Relief Campaign and the cycle ride is aiming to raise £1 million for Sport Relief and the Dallaglio Foundation, who in turn are going to support Cancer Research UK, DelFRA, the Help the Heroes campaign, the PRA Benevolent Fund and Leukaemia Research.

Greene King offered 24 places for their employees and over 60 people applied.  I am delighted to have been one of the 24 chosen and will be taking part in the Paris to Twickenham ride in February.  I am now training hard for the six hours per day in the saddle which I will have to do!

I would therefore be grateful if you could sponsor me.  Whilst I have put a target of £1,000.00, I would like to raise more if possible.  I appreciate that times are hard and Christmas is on its way, but any money given would be greatly appreciated.
