The idea is pretty simple: to trek up Mount Kenya, the second highest mountain in Africa with peaks over 5000 metres high. We are going to be trekking this mountain for a week, walking to the walker's peak, Point Lenana, which is 4,985 metres high (16,355 ft). As you will be able to see from the map we will be getting pretty far up though as we will take the Chogoria route up and then Naro Moru route down. Rob and I are doing this as part of our trip through Africa starting in April but even if we are already gone please don't let that stop you donating to this very worthwhile cause.
