Whilst out there I will be working with Baan Romjit. This is a charity set up in the wake of the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami. With them I will be working near the Burmese Border in North West Thailand in Mae Sot area teaching English to dsiplaced children who have fled the regime in Burma. Baan Romjit have also provided the funds for repairs and the construction of new schools.
I will have to raise £2200 over the next 3 and a half months, which will no doubt be a difficult but rewarding task! Half the money raised will go towards the costs of the trip and half will go to charity. Over the next few months I will be undertaking a series of fundraising activities to reach this target which I will inform you of throught this group.
