I will be giving up alcohol for the 47 days of Lent which, if you know me will be a bit of a challenge! :)

I'm asking as many people as possible to sponsor me in this challenge to raise money for my local RSPCA centre.

Like a lot of charities that depend on donations from the public, the recession has hit the RSPCA hard, but unlike some other charities, their workload continues to grow, with more and more abandoned pets filling the care centres due to the economic climate leaving pets at the bottom of many people's list of priorities.

If you are an animal lover this state of affairs is fairly upsetting, but while you may be unable to fill your home with other people's unwanted or mistreated pets in order to ease the RSPCA's workload, you CAN donate money to help them ride this, particularly difficult, time out.

Please help me raise money for the RSPCA and ultimately the animals that they care for, by donating as much or as little as you can. :)
