Alfie Daniel was born on the 27 June 2009. At just eight weeks old Alfie died of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). Two years on, Alfie’s resting place remains unmarked by a headstone. Alfie’s family are unable to raise the £2409.35 that would fund the memorial. I want to do what I can to help raise this figure. To many it is a small sum, for Alfie’s family, it would take years to save. I have been in touch with Megan’s World, a registered charity that provides financial assistance for private burial plots and headstones for still born babies and neonatal loss. I am very pleased to announce that they are allowing us to raise money for them via JustGiving. Each donation made will be sent to the stonemason. In the event that we raise funds over our target, they shall be donated to Megan’s World. We are in the process of planning some fund raising events of which details are to be confirmed. In the meantime, I would like to share details of a sponsored walk I shall be completing. At 7am on the 25 June 2012, I will leave my home in Kent, carrying with me a candle. On the of 27 June 2012, I will arrive at Alfie’s resting place in West Sussex. It is here that I will light the candle for Alfie on which would have been his 3 birthday. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and to read about Alfie. If you would like to donate, you can do so here. If you would like to join me on the sponsored walk, or have any suggestions for fund raising events, please get in touch. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. Amber
