Story
On 11th September 2013, I turned 25.
Inspired by a friend who did something similar in her 25th year, I embarked on my #25at25 challenge, where I enlisted 15 of my closest friends and family to each come up with something for me to do before I turn 26, and I set myself 10 challenges to make a full list of 25 things to do before I turn 25.
It's a pretty eclectic mix, with challenges ranging from making a Bake Off style showstopper to creating a video blog every week, swimming the Great London Swim, running the 5k Colour Run and getting myself on a TV gameshow. You can see them all and keep an eye on my regular updates over on alicemaypurkiss.co.uk
One of my challenges is to raise £500 for a charity of my choice and for this I chose Butterwick Children's Hospice - a Teeside based charity I've been passionate about since I was 16. They do incredible work offering support and respite care for children with life limiting illnesses and their families. I can't advocate the work Butterwick do enough - they make such a wonderful difference to families who are facing some of the most impossible hardships.
I'm so grateful for any donations towards my #25at25 challenge - whether you're sponsoring the swim, the Colour run, my ten acts of kindness or just this whole crazy endeavour. I'll also be doing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge at the end of May too.
