Having always wanted to do a parachute jump, I've finally got round to booking it before I'm a) using a zimmer frame b) officially diagnosed as senile. I'm due to take part in a tandem jump from Langar Airfield on Friday 25th September 2009 (weather conditions and nerves permitting).
Just in case all doesn't go to plan (!) I thought it would be nice to use the occasion to raise monies for worthwhile causes. I have paid for the parachute jump, so every penny donated will go to the chosen charity.
I've chosen to support Treetops Hospice as they do a magnificent job in providing care and support to individuals with life limiting illnesses in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire and they have been working hard over the past year to raise funds for a new care centre.
