My story
Alison and Michelle have chosen to pound the streets of Edinburgh to raise money for the Suubi Trust, a charity that they know is making a huge difference to many of the most vulnerable people in Uganda through its numerous healthcare projects.
Having just recently spent 18 months volunteering in Uganda as a doctor, Alison was privileged enough to be involved in many of these health projects and so has first hand experience of the amazing work that they are doing despite very limited resources. We know that every penny you donate will make a huge impact to many lives in Uganda so with your support we will make sure we stay the course, even if it is on our knees!!

Final week now and hopefully most of the hard training work done and all downhill from here!!
We are also very grateful to Charters Health Club in St Albans, who are kindly allowing us to use their running machines without charge for interval training on Wednesdays- a welcome respite from the rain. Thank you!
Training going well and was continued by Alison in Uganda and Michelle in Gran Canaria over the Easter holidays. We are both now grateful for the cooler British climate, despite the rain!

We have special interest in helping to improve the health of women and babies. A current project is raising funds to build a maternity theatre at our charity hospital in Lira, Northern Uganda. We help to support treatment of patients on Hope Ward, the charity ward at International Hospital Kampala.
