Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Dystonia is an incurable and disabling neurological disorder that affects more than 40,000 people young and old in the UK.  The Dystonia Society aims to ensure that everybody affected by dystonia has access to the treatment and support they need. Dystonia affected my father in his early fifties by disrupting the nerve signals to his voice box resulting in him losing his voice. This had significant personal and professional implications including him leaving his job.

Thanks to groundbreaking research and treatment, many people now are receiving sympton relieving treatment and amongst those is my father who now has useable voice function. The research continues to progress and helps many sufferers throughout our country and ultimately worldwide.

By way of thanks to The Dystonia Society and support for the ongoing research I intend to complete the Perkins Great Eastern Run (Half Marathon 13.1 miles) on October 11th 2009 and am seeking your sponsorship and support to spur my sore knees around the course.
