**UPDATE**
Stu and I both completed the extended 2.25 mile Nokia Thames Swim on Sunday 1st August from Hampton Court Palace to Kingston Bridge. It was an early start and a very long swim but both very happy it's done!
*** NEWS FLASH - RALLY COMPLETED ON SUNDAY 30th MAY ****
Car....£250
Hawaiian flowers ....£2.50
Flights back because the car will be fairly useless by then ....£25
Looking like fools cruising around Europe for a good cause....Priceless
So now we're all signed up for Sucata Split in May 2010 and will be battling our way from Bruges to Split in Croatia over the course of 4 days.
And of course the money for registering for the event, the car, accommodation and the flights back we pay for ourselves! You're not paying for our holiday! Everything you donate goes straight to Gemin-i.
And for those of you that don't already know, Stu and I are also doing all four of the British Gas Great Swims which are a series of one mile, open water swim challenges in lakes, lochs and docks around the UK over the course of the summer when we return from the rally. All money raised from both challenges - the rally and the swim series - will go to Gemin-i as the chosen charity for 2010.

May Update!
Stu and I have signed up for a fifth swim and this one is 2 MILES! And the Polo is now half-way through the transformation process (see pic) and we're all getting quite excited!
________
The money you help us raise for this year’s Sucata Split will be funding Gemin-i to run an HIV and AIDS awareness project, entitled Global Action Xchange, in schools across over 100+ countries around the globe.
Connect: Gemin-i aim to connect 1,000 schools in the developing and developed world to discuss the issues associated with HIV and AIDS.
Learn: At least 60,000 children will share ideas online and learn about the tangible ways they can play a role in combating HIV and AIDS.
Change: Schools will then be provided with tailored resources and tools to help them to join campaigns, take action and address governments on their commitment to deliver effective strategies to tackle HIV and AIDS.
Thanks for donating! Don't forget the Gift Aid.
