I am doing the parish walk this year, for two reasons. This time last year if i had been asked to do the parish walk I think I would have just laughed! My fitness was very poor and it took until January 2013 to realise that things needed to change.

I am not to my fullest fitness level yet, but would like to achieve 32 miles and make it to Peel.

I would like to keep motivated through out the walk and by doing this I have chosen Oskar's Dreams as my charity to raise money for.

Oskar's Dreams is a charity based on the Isle of Man to help rasie funds for specialist care for children.

Jade Quirk who has lived across the road from me for 9 years lost her life to cancer in March this year, age just 17 she had so much to give and it is heartbreaking to see young people struggle with illness and then sadly lose the fight.

Oskar's dreams is a charity that was very close to Jade's Heart and I know she will be very proud to see money going to a great cause and carrying on the memory of Oskar and Jade x
