Useful Vision is a charity set up by some family friends and it is for visually impaired children. Nick and Rebecca Wilson (the people who set this charity up) were inspired to do this charity because their son Ben was diagnosed with cancer when he was 5 and during his treatment he became blind. This was obviously very hard for the family as it caused many problems for easy day-to-day experiences that many people take for granted as well as him not being able to any of the activities most boys his age could do. Sadly Ben passed away hen he was 9 due to his illness. It was an extremely hard time for all the family and friends and Ben’s parents Nick and Rebecca were inspired to make this charity by Ben to help other visually impaired children like him across the North-East of England get the most out of life.
Useful vision have been very well supported and have been able to create many pieces of equipment like and tandem for a blind boy so that he can cycle with his family. Also there have also been devices made for blind children to go climbing in and also another example is a specially made piano.
please please please donate any amount of money to Useful Vision as it would help work towards any faciclities etc needed to help visually impaired children get the most out of life.
To help raise money I am going to cycle 32.2 miles with two of my friends from school so please feel free to donate some money towards my goal of £300!!!
