I am raising money for Sikhaid International, a humanitarian organisation, which is based in Birmingham and is currently collecting funds for a free Eye and Dental camp taking place this year in October 2010.

Sikhaid International was originally founded by Dr. Manjit Singh Bhogal in 2001, and since then aims have been met to serve the suffering humanity, by offering aid and assistance to those who have been victims of disasters, or for many others who are still living in poverty.

Sikhaid has successfully been sponsoring free eye camps since September 2004 in Mulanpur, Ludhiana, Punjab, and one of the main objectives have been to to reach out to remote communities, irrespective of caste or religion, particularly communities that have no medical care, and then give them something life-changing.

With your help you can save someone’s eyesight, and provide patients with medical care that they are unable to afford.

Also, for the first time this year, volunteers will hold a Dental camp in Ludhiana, and a group of dentist from the UK will travel across to India, and provide patients who are living in poverty, with oral health check ups, treatment and care.

It costs just £15 to give sight to one person with preventable surgery. You could make a difference to someone’s life, but we can only achieve our objectives with your help, so please donate generously and give a person something life-changing.
