St Georges Day 23rd April 2010
Big Big Thank you to every one who sponcored us and took part in the walk with your help we done it
What a Great Day!
Not only did we reach our target, we smashed it, collecting £1466.00 on the day was a fantasic achievement and showed the Great British public are right behind our boys. Starting out at 8'clock at London Bridge and finishing at 6 in Leicester Square was made even more special by realising that we had already had £3800 pledged. The weather was with us and shined brightly on the masses, after shouting out "HELP FOR HEROES" for 10 hours it left a few of us little orse; The George Inn on The Strand done us proud laying on a nice bit of tucker, and although not proven left a few of the women with a bit of wind,( note to self, get upwind for the sarvo) The people loved us and wanted picture after picture, with a few of the kids getting Kernighted by Sir Baldy Delion, Delion and Sir Carlsberg went for a canter on Steve and Brian the Knights trusty steeds(played by Zippy & Bungle) in Trafalgar Square.. a short walk to the Leceister Square finished off by one last photo, or was it? dont know who was more excited seeing Bradders in the pub,i'm sure i won that one but we was having one done with him, ale was now flowing and finished the day nicely
